There is no ‘on’ or ‘off’ button on the cap. The self-clean mode is automatic and cannot be turned off.

However, this feature can be turned off/on in CrazyCap Pro.

Step 1) Completely empty your bottle of its contents.
Step 2) Attach the CrazyCap to the bottle and activate Crazy Mode twice by tapping the touchpad 5 times (5 taps trigger Crazy Mode).
Step 3) After the two Crazy Mode treatments, the odor should be significantly reduced. If necessary, perform an additional Crazy Mode treatment.

We haven't tested it yet on PureMax, but we tested on HydroCap which uses similar LED power & configuration. Our test show it can eliminate unto 99% of NTM from water.

When using it for the first time, we recommend washing your bottle with soap water. After that, the deep UV-C light activates in self-clean mode automatically, shining in the interior surface of the bottle to destroy mold, bacteria, viruses, and pathogens. This process sterilizes your bottle and keeps it mold and smell free, so you never have to worry about cleaning your bottle.

All our bottles are completely waterproof, so you can either wash the cap with mild soap and water, or clean it with alcohol wipes. Please note: None of our bottles are dishwasher safe.

For this, we recommend activating the cap before putting it on the bottle mouth and shining the mouth surface for at least 30-40 seconds, or activating normal mode (60 secs) to disinfect this portion of the bottle.

Once this is complete, screw the cap on the bottle and sanitize your water in Normal or CrazyCap mode, depending on the water source.

The life of the UV light (UV-C LED) is 10 years, or 500,000 treatments. The user cannot replace the light themselves.
